I've been looking all over the place for PT785-35054 (cargo tie-downs/D-Rings), but no one seems to have these, including the parts warehouses.

    Has Toyota discontinued these?

If you are looking to install D-Rings in the front of the bed as well, the ones that are in the back do not fit the front bolts anyhow, and they are way expensive. Get these army surplus D-Rings, drill out the center a bit, and then install these instead. That's what I did, and can safely hold my ATV in the bed now with adequate tie-down points.

My D-rings from the rear fit in the front just fine, I had to dremel off a washer though. I think I'm going to get these army surplus rings too, though.

The dealer can do an inventory search of all Toyota dealers. There were a few scattered around the country. I was lucky and just found some at Camelback Toyota in Phoenix. They only had 2 sets.

In my previous Tacoma, I installed them under the front bed bolts as many suggested doing. I think these were a Torx 55. I thought I would need a breaker bar to get them off, but my 1/2" socket wrench did fine.

After I removed the bolts from the bed I used a vice to press off the washer on the bolt. I did this by passing a short piece of PVC pipe over the head of the bolt so that the pipe was resting on the washer. Then I put this assembly into the vice long-ways. Closing the vice pushed the PVC pipe against the washer until the force pressed it off the bolt.

Then I removed the washer, installed the D ring, followed by the washer, back onto th bolt, then installed the bolt assembly back into the bed of the truck.

Nice job getting the washer off. I struggled for a bit with it and then gave up, and just cut one edge off so the washer would lay flush inside the D-Ring (on top of it). So I have a D-Washer on top of a D-Ring. Cool.
