Anyone have experience going from Toyo Open Country M/T's to the Dura Tracs? I'm just looking for advice and input. The Toyo MT's are nice, but a bit loud for my liking. I don't deal with snow, and go mudding occasionally.

 

Nice, and didn't realize their where Gators in Philly.
And, DT's are lighter than MTR's, hence better gas milage. I drive 100 miles a day for another.
This fence sucks.

 

Lol, that was in Georgia. Dt's are sexier too.

 

Local Goodyear dealer quoted me some prices. All mounted and balanced. All 285/70r/17's. In dollars.

Alright guys, I need your help!! I posted this in the tire section also.

I noticed my duratracs have some bulges between the sidewall treads. Some bulges are bigger than others and it's on all 4 tires. It's not uniform the entire way around the tire. I didn't notice this before, that's why it worried me a little.

Anyone else notice this with their duratracs?

Tires have about 20k miles running @ about 35-36psi.

 

I have about 36k on mine and don't have any bulges. I run at 65 for towing reasons

 

Just realized I've been following this thread forever but never posted in it!

Look what just came in the mail!!! 265/70/16 $688 + shipping on tirerack

 

I'll play....I've had them on my '99 Tacoma, switched from BFG Muds to these...best tire ever. Put them on my '11 Tacoma, now they're on my '06 4Runner.

Just ordered 285x75x16's for my '06 DC.

Can't wait to get them on.

Duratracs are on both Tacomas in my sig pic.

 

Everyone claiming these Duratracs haven't changed their mpg's much, I'd like to know the setup lol. I was averaging 18.5-19 mpg on my stock 265/70-16 rugged fails. with a 2" front lift and the 265/75-16 load range C duratracs I get about 14.5-15 with the odometer adjustment. I running right at 40-42 psi in them. think I might air up to 50 and see any changes.

Spare me the talk, I know I knw. bigger tires always means less mpg. but I wouldn't think they'd drop 4-4.5.
