Probably just as much work as the Safari Hilux snorkel that a lot have on their 2nd gen.

FYI - the DIY method from this forum is easy to do at home, no compressor required. I did it 3 times yesterday...after installing the first side I noticed that I forgot to install the shock protector so did that side twice. Needless to say after you figure out the first one the other goes much quicker!

 

Went to the dealer to get the seat belt recall done. After an hour and half, they told me the passenger side was complete but they had to order a replacement for the drivers side. In order to drive my truck out I had to sign a waiver. Now I am waiting for them to call me and schedule another service.

 

For me simple I'm acquainted with a service manager at my local Toyota, he had a slow Friday and had his crazy off road guy and a few other mechanics knock it out. The even painted the pillars behind the grill. Was really impressed they did a great job... more importantly a free... job.

4 hours of labor.

Which was nice since I can't fit the Taco in my garage if I wanted to do it myself and it's been nothing but rain lately.

Next up is OEM running boards because I've not seen any others that I've liked yet.

I assume you're referring to the access cab seat belt recall?

I went to the dealer the other day and scheduled an appointment to have that done. I asked the dude in charge if he thought it'd be alright for me to bring in some pre assembled aftermarket speakers for the access doors for them to mount in there while they have the panels off. He said as long as its just a couple screws and plugs, it shouldn't be an issue.

FREE INSTALLATION!! win. (knock on wood: it hasn't actually happened yet. get back to me after April 21st and I'll let you know if it did.)

I've been dreading taking off the access panels but wanting to since I got the truck cause the rear speakers sound like garbage.
I'm using the cheapo (free) plastic speaker mounts from crutchfield.com. Sucks that taco tunes charges $110 for their mounts. That's highway robbery in my opinion. A couple screws and cut piece of plastic?! no me gusta.

 

New tires on today. General Grabber AT2 286/75R16. I really like the look.







I think the next mod I'll do is the grill. I hate the chrome.

Installed my OME 883/ 5100's. Came out great

 

Installed Spidertrax spacers on my 2011 4dr

 

How long did it take you? I've got a set of Borla 1" spacers waiting to go on.

 

Fixed my windshield chip with permatex's windshield repair. I can still see the chip but can't feel it anymore. We'll see how well this works

 

Washed and getting ready to be put in the garage for 3 weeks

 

making a box for my two 8's under the back seats.

Need to get more resin to finish.

finished my LED's on the bed. Turns on with tailgate open and turns off with closed.




Also got my 5100's but haven't had time to put them on.
