Got a pair of FXR retro fits from Burt (Ambiguos)

Today I was at the dealer notice they were not aligned properly like they were after I had them installed so asked the dealer to realign them. Got them all aligned and when they closed the hood the cutoff dropped back down??? What and why could this be happening???

Loose screws holding projector, or glue that let go. This has happened to me. As a matter a fact mine still shack a little but they've held up fine.
How do you check? Wiggle the bulb housing behind the light and look for play inside the light. Start there, if all fails next step would be taking the lights apart.

Was the final turn clockwise(?)? I think it's meant to "lock" the screw.

Well tried that... And that would have been to easy. The screw even stops moving to get the passenger level with the driver side at all it turns and nothing happens then give it a little bump and it drops down lower.. I can raise it up but not to the level of the other side, tap it and it drops.. Wtf

You have to adjust them from quite a distance to get them perfect

Mine fluctuate every now and then by a hair, but I don't have the fender bolts in yet that go into the side of the light.

Like I said though, mine passenger won't even move up to match the driver the screw just spins.. And even if it did.. With a little bump the beam drops. It's f$&@ed.

OP, it's sounds to me like you might just have to get a new truck. Might not be worth the effort . Jk, like mentioned before, maybe the retros are loose inside, or the adjustment screws on the housing are stripped?

Burt is taking care of the situation. I'm still pissed off at my luck with headlights but atleast he's coming through for me.

Its those adjuster plastic tabs. They might be stripped and need to be replace. Talk to your retrofiter about taking care of that. If they worked before shipping it to him than it should work afterwards. I did a few and when that happens I head to pep boys and pick up some tabs.
