I love running those FS roads. Late afternoon rides are great for spotting wildlife. My parents live down the road from Blue Ridge WMA so I'm in that area often. All the fishing spots will be packed over the next few weeks even the little known local spots so middle of the week should be a good bet.

They quoted me $1k in labor on top of parts. I like the lifetime warranty on their work, but $1k seems steep for 6 hours of labor.

    That is insane.

Just think of all the mods you can do with the $1K that you save by doing it yourself.

I'd be interested in doing it myself, but the most experience I have working on trucks is installing my buddy's ShrockWorks bumper. I can get the coils preassembled, but from what I've read, its a pain to remove the pin for the UCA's as well as wedging the coil-overs into the front end. Pretty confident I can handle installing the rear shocks and leaf pack.

Getting that bolt out isn't the easiest but it is possible. You can do it the traditional way or you can cut it out and purchase a replacement from the dealership. I got some chain and pulled on the lower control arms when installing the struts and had a my uncle line it all up.

They quoted me around the same to install mine. Forget that! I ended up recruiting a buddy and we did it over the weekend. The brewski's didn't help by making it a longer process but it can be done in one day if you start early for both front and back. That front UCA bolt is a booger but with a few choice words and will it can be done. A rubber mallet is your best friend during this entire process. Looking back it now it was fun, learned a ton and know exactly how everything works. This is always a good thing in case you need to turn wrenches on the trail instead of being stuck!

You got that right on the dead end! Can't wait for my bumper to land so that I can always resort to running over saplings in the worst case. ;) We are thinking of doing the same thing as far as camping goes. Need to get some fishing in as it's killing me that the season opened last weekend and I didn't get one hook in the water up there.

We're going fishing on the Okmulgee tomorrow to wear out some shoal bass. We usually go every Friday after it warms up each year and this will be our 1st trip of the year. I'm ready!

Here's some from the past few years:

6 pounder about 4 years ago, back before I started working out....I'm about 60 lbs heavier now lol

Thanks. Yeah, the world record is only 8 lb. 12 oz....If I would've known that at the time, I would've gotten it mounted!

    HEY OH!
