    3" of rain would kill everyone out here.....When engineering a development, we design the terrain to accept a "100 year flood" which is considered 1" rain in 1 hour.

    I remember when I lived out there all the people that would try and drive through the "dry riverbeds" after a rain, when they weren't so dry :D.... well, duh, it's wet and you will float away....
