But you still need to be on a permit to get past the gate :p
Unless you get your own day pass, and just stay on.

Yea.. i think that's possibly the only down side. When my mom was in the hospital, I lent it to my dad cause they didnt have a cot for him.. at night, he could basically lie down.. during the day was just a more comfortable chair.
Some friends have that other chair that has the foot rest. Style that folds up like like a stick/pole. They still try and steal my zero gravity.. fishing style is sweats, a pretty heavy jacket (almost skiing type) and if it is super cold, use one of those blue moving blankets over.. That's when we drove, not walked in....

Those blue moving pads are actually pretty nice to sleep with.

You can put 7 people on a permit for one campsite. Got plenty of room anyway.

Yeah, you just need a one day entry pass. Not sure where to get those tho. There was a link on one of the old Peacock flats meets.

49 hours and 20 minutes before being able to get permits. Excitement in the air.

They don't check your permit when you leave. I think you can leave whenever you want. It's not hard to find your way back out either. Just stay on the biggest, most well maintained road until you hit pavement.

Out of courtesy for all, I will not be trying to get an actual permit but will try and get on someone else's permit.

Being that I am not 4x but rather 1.25x, I will more than likely not going up if the weather is crappy as I would probably be getting suck more than not. Just again out of courtesy as the last thing I would want is to be a detriment to the group..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I get the main permit and don't go, those on my permit may not be able to go up too correct?? (or I could be wrong). If I am wrong, then I will probably be up like the rest of you at 12:00 a.m trying to get a site. I know someone will chime in.

Lastly, I'll post this up on the main Oahu forum, but FYI... Headstrong is having a lighting sale.. I emailed them and got quoted the Rigid SRQ back-up kit for 199.99 shipped. Will take 1-2 weeks to get in from Rigid (as they don't have those stocked), but I may jump on that. Amazon is $25 more, and truckfest... don't get me started on that again.. lol..

If all goes well, I'll have some camping lights for the trip..
