Which ball joint? I haz all kinds of pullers, but the UCA ball joint comes out easier with a few good taps of the hammer on the flat of the spindle. Or I put a bit of pressure with the pitman puller first, and then tap with a hammer. I don't usually take the steering control arms off.

I followed this advice installing my MT

3 hours of pounding with a sledge didn't budge it, so I had to go find a puller.

laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawllllllllllllll. Good times, gooood times.

it'll be the most anticlimactic video ever, and I'll feel exactly the same way as when the puller took it off in under a minute.

Yeah... the 2nd gen spindle is completely different. The ball joint is pressed into the UCA, and the tapered pin goes into the spindle.

 

you know, I haven't actually seen the 2nd gen setup so that vid might actually be handy

Made a prototype circle jig today so I can make some better speaker adapters. If it works well I'll either go with a scrap piece of 1/4" cold rolled, or MDF. This one came out to a whopping $0.23 out of pocket today!

That's a good circle jig Nate. Why do you need different diameters for the same sized speaker?

I usually have to wake up at 4-4:30am, so it's hard not to get up early, even on days off.
