Second gens 2005-2008 trd sport had the mechanical LSD, I think it was an option for the sr5s too, OR had the e locker, 2009+ all models have the brakes function as the LSD, trd OR has atrac and e locker.

You can out one in the rear and the front too I believe, and the all 4 tires would usually spin in 4x4. Just remember the diffs are 2 different sizes. I ordered mine off Jegs. It was the cheapest I could find online and even had free shipping

The truetrac is a gear driven LSD right? So you would still only have 2 tires spinning in 4wd but they would ideally be the ones with traction as when they break free it would transfer power to the other side. Right?

Unfortunately this doesn't always get you where you want to go as I found out today, I did the yellow wire mod to my truck so it's effectively LSD/LSD in 4lo but the thick greasy clay was still enough to stop forwards progression

Yes but it's not a 100% transfer to the one with the most traction so 4 tires should spin. And yes, it is possible to get stuck with 4 tires spinning. Sometimes traction just doesn't happen. What tires do you have?

Gotcha, I have the hankook mts. Clay was just too sticky, they wouldn't clean so I couldn't get a bite.

    Just watched this video:

That thing is pretty slick indeed!

Yes it is pretty awesome. It should make my prerunner a lot more capable where I go offroad. From what I've heard, the nice thing about the truetrac is unlike most LSDs where when 1 tire is off the ground and the LSD won't engage, with a truetrac you can pull the ebrake a little and it will fool the LSD into locking up. Kind of like old Hummers
