About an hour. That included removing my skids. The bushings were shot. My rack moved a ton when steering. . Now it is nice and solid. Used energy bushings..

Got a new coaxial cable and checked my SWR nothing changed. So I drilled the hole a little bigger and checked it, nothing changed. This is my setup any suggestions? I might drill the hole a little bigger

Aw I didn't see that, no that might be it, I'll have to check that. Since my trucks silver it might have blended in.

I ment to put that my SWR is in the red

Receiver (Clarion CX609), speakers (Polk DB 5 1/4 component set up front, Polk DB 5x7 rear), small sub under drivers seat (Sound Ordinance- only available through Crutchfield), Aluminum Xcab window hinge, Weathertech mats, 2010 Tacoma Off Road wheels
Ive had a Clarion CX609 since after my deployment in 2009. Before that I had only rocked Kenwood decks. It has been a great unit. Bluetooth, usb, aux in, all the good stuff, plus double din and looks pretty stock. The newer version looks to have disappeared from Crutchfield, but looks to be a good unit as well. Maybe it can be found elsewhere.

As far as install goes, get the appropriate Toyota harness and the rest is cake. With the double din you simply use the existing brackets from the stock stereo. Im also in San Diego if you need a hand.

    Tried that didn't work…

Also tried to sand the mount holes to the bed that didn't work.

Gonna try to isolate the stud screw and the mount with some electrical tape or something else, but its starting to rain so I'll do it tomorrow.

Any other inputs would be appreciated. And thanks to all who have tried to help out a fellow 1st genner!

Did you screw the tip almost all the way out to see if the SWR changed at all?

What are your SWR readings at Ch 1, 19 and 40? Is the needle pegged or just in the red?

I didn't screw it all the way just about an inch or so. It's just in the red
