What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Got halfway through installing a new HU,new speakers and wiring and an amp. Being a been to any mods on my truck this took me a solid 8 hours and I still need to put all the paneling and trim back on! Bah, Monday can suck it

 

Looks good man! I'm overdue for sliders, that'll be my next big purchase who makes those?

For the guy that was asking for pics of my sub the day before yesterday, this is looking from the outside under the drivers seat.

And this is from the floorboard of the back seat.

 

Post the SWR numbers with the tip all the way screwed in and almost all the way out for Ch 1 and Ch 40 (Ch 19 would be helpful too.)

This will give us a good idea if the antenna is short, long or actually has a grounding problem.

 

It's one of those sub/amp combos.

Did some much needed touch up on my wheels and decided to pull the trigger on some Eibachs and new leaf springs(not sure which ones yet)

 

Finlay finished replacing the seals, and bearings on my rear axle.

 

Planning on pulling the trigger on some Eibach coils and new leaf springs but could use some help. I already have 5100s, buying Eibach 620# coils, and thinking about going with Dakars. If I go with the Dakars, do I need longer U-bolts? Extended Brake line? Also, if anyone knows if the bushings come with purchase through Toytec, that would also be helpful.

 

Oh ya, and does Toytec offer a TW discount by any chance?

You always should get new Ubolts really. But yes, youll need new ones that are longer.

Extended brake line can't hurt.

Get the AAL while your at it. You have a topper and the eibachs will give you a whole lotta lift.

 

Always replace the u-bolts. Doesn't matter if you need longer ones or not, which you may not. Buy new anyways.

As for extended brake line, I'm not sure. Can't hurt though for only $30.

Says on their site that it comes with new bushings.

"2 1/4" lift complete rear springs priced each with bushings."

Also, I recommend getting new main-eye bolts, as it's unlikely that you'll be able to take them out without cutting them off. Rear shackle bolts might do the same, but it's not likely.

 

Thanks fellas, I didn't see that part about the bushings, must be tired, haha. Paying for the shipping on this is gonna be painful!

I have very little rust on my truck and have't had problems removing bolts except for these, and it seems most do also.

 

These were actually DOM 4xinnovations originally. Someone totaled their truck and I got it off them for $100. It cost more than that after I got more metal to put them on the truck but still cheaper than getting them new by a decent amount. I'll have more pics in the build thread tomorrow on how we extended the legs.
