Which makes them not so pricey, look at all the TTs that have to run 20 rows of the "other" brands on their roof, it looks retarded

A lot of the customers who buy the dodge bumpers we build want a 30 and 50 inch onx bar and they really are impressed with the bar. Once I get pictures I'll show the light spread.

20 was an exaggeration but they have to run a lot of rigid bars to be able to keep up

That's cause rigid is overpriced junk. VisionX or Baja Designs if you want real technology in optics. Rigid just took off because their mounting style was the most conducive to easy bracketry.

I'm personally pretty happy with our our Toughlight bar, especially after finally getting to use it in person at the Mint. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very status oriented so name brand doesn't do me any good.

And while I won't argue that there are probably certainly better performing lights technology wise, the question for me is not what works best period but rather what works best for MY needs.

These sorts of LED debates come up a lot, just like front kits, tires, shocks, etc. I personally feel like 9 times out of 10 people asking for that kind of "opinion" are asking the wrong question. The most important question I think for most people is not what works best period, but how much shock/light/tire/etc do YOU need.

Unelss of course you just like spending money. Or the right light bar is the only thing keeping you from scoring the next higher level of 'tang.

There are quite a few opinions about LED lights. My intended use is some sort of amber lighting solution so that I can be seen from the front in the dust. Im hoping to find them used so wish me luck.

I run two china LED amber pods on the front of my truck for dust. They work great. $80 for both with the amber lenses.

Are you planning on changing bumpers? If your trying to keep it a "comfy DD" how bout a 20" rigid bar behind the grill on the BAMF mounts and have an amber cover for it?

I know I know... Words... Blah blah... I will say, ANY forward facing light is MUCH more visible then nothing in our mirrors when cars were coming up behind us. Also, a few people have commented on our video showing the difference in lighting. If you watch the first few minutes here I'm toggling between a 50" toughlight bar across the top and then kicking it off when in the dust. On the bumper we have 2 euro pattern amber HIDs and a single spot amber HID also. If you watch closely you can even see me switching between those also looking for the best view.

Orange County Buggy is building that Jeep. Haven't heard about any updates on in in like a year. It's IRS too.

Probably not a ton. What would you say is necessary ?
    Bushings/heims
    all lube/oils
if its not pushed hard, you think you could get 2 full seasons without rebuilding all shocks? Tires are probably the most expensive. Is 3-5grand an accurate estimate?

Yeah but Im trying not to be a hater. I was when they first came out.
I think thats what Im going to do. Where did you get them?
Im not going to get a bumper. Thats a can of worms I dont want. I thought about a 20" light but I dont really need that much light from the dust light. More of a safety thing. Im running a 30" bar in lower valence and it works well.
I noticed that when I watched your race re-cap. I would be a big fan of amber HIDs if I had a clean way to mount them. Awesome video BTW. That was a hell of a race you ran. Smooth and safe.

I was drooling over that too. It makes building our trucks seem silly huh? I was on the fence as I was ordering my TC kit about whether to take my truck back to stock and just buy that for a toy.
