This was my truck about a year ago in Germany! Luckily nothing was damaged and I kept it running the entire time!!

The water wasnt deep enough to hit the fan? And what is it hooked up too in the back, it looks like the tow chain loop if so thats a good way to cause an accident.

Some insurance companies exclude damage from off-highway activities.

 

Good luck with it. About the only thing that I could help out with is a scan gauge if no one close to ya has a scanner.

I've had mine paid off nearly 4 yr now. Instead of dropping coverage I went with higher deductibles. Still limits my exposure, while not paying high premiums.

Have you tried putting your truck in a bag of rice? I've heard that it helps.

Chris, to play it safe, before you plug in the new ECU, I would just double check the power and grounds to the ECU. You don't want to short out or fry a new ECU on install!

Step 1: obtain wiring diagram

Step 2: obtain multimeter

Step 3: check power and ground wires to ECU at connector.

 

But not all the non-grounds will have power to them, right?
