Prior to the rain, I was able to wash the truck and did a full detail. During the polish, I used a microfiber pad for the first step, then a foam pad for the finish polish. For the first time using a microfiber pad, I did not think it was too difficult. I definitely used more material with the microfiber than the foam pad, but the overall results to me are great. Could not take any outdoor shots, as it is still raining down here. Hopefully this weekend I can get some better photos. Below are some of reflections from the body.

    Looks great Goose!!

Lots of detailers use and like the Cyclo polishers. Back in the day it was the top rated polisher and still does a remarkable job today.

Does look really nice! I have a 13% code for Adams. PM if you'd like it.

Thanks, but I am good for now. Have enough material to last me a while! Took up the spring discount they had and was able to stock up.

    For sure!

There seems to be some bickering in here over product lines. What's everyone using these days? I've detailed on the side for about 17 years now, and went exclusive Adams about 3 years ago. I do not work for Adams btw. I have taken it upon myself to help spread the name over the euro community. There are not too many products I have not used, as I used to test about anything I came across for fun. But I have not looked around much in the past few years, as I have been extremely content. Before Adams, I was pretty deep into Wolfgang with some Menzerna as well. Btw, other than the Swissvax leather combo, Adams pricing is about as high as I care to go.

I have been impressed with the waxes from Adams. You are correct that Adams is high (especially with the shipping rates), but I will spend money on products that I enjoy. In my opinion, I enjoy other products compared to Adams wheel cleaner, all purpose cleaner. The detail spray is hit or miss for me. Been thinking about trying another brand out to see if I like it better.

My truck sits in the garage all week since I have a company truck and fathers dust. Wanting to find a good spray to use that will remove the dust easily and will not show streaks.

Yes, I have as well. I really enjoy the Americana. And I did not mean to say Adams was high, and I never order when free ship is not available, and always get the 13% of course. I simply mean, with the results I get, I'm not willing to pay say $150 for a wax and so on. All of my vehicles look amazing in person, and if a product could go above the current state, I'll never notice it. And honestly, compared to pricing for some of the off the shelf BS, Adams pricing sits pretty well. I am actually crazy over the detail spray. I have tested more DS than any other, and I've yet to find anything I prefer. What issues are you having with it? I also feel the same about the APC. Its super gentle, yet cleans so well. I do not use or push wheels cleaners. A sock, trim brush and car shampoo is my method. Have you tried the new Liquid Sealant? I love that stuff. Same for the Qucik Sealant. So handy. I love it for wheels.

There are also some products I've used for a longgggg time that are far from hi-tech that I still push. Duragloss 652 is one of those. I love that stuff. Not easy to use, but damn it cleans. Cheap too.

For dust while sitting, I use my duster and DS. Works great. Many use Waterless Wash, for more confidence in avoiding damage, but I am familiar enough to use DS.

I took on my first full detail in a long while a few weeks ago. I was more than impressed with the results. Especially with the new polishing combo. This truck had not been handwashed in over a year, and it sits outside full time. Over thousands of details, it may have been the worst. Here is a pic....

Wow, that looks amazing on the detail. Impressive garage as well.

The issue I have with the detail spray is that I have to wipe and wipe and wipe before it won't show any streaks. I have even reduced the quantity I material being sprayed, but I still run into the issues. I am using a microfiber towel and everything, but I am still showing streaks.

I used the liquid paint sealant for the first time. I enjoyed the product. Very easy to take up, similar to the brilliant glaze.

I am also a detailing geek. I've tried many different products.
And the ONLY detail spray i use on my personal vehicle is the Adams detail spray.
Never experienced any streaking problem. Is the detail spray new formula? When did u buy it? Maybe the Mf towels is causing the streaking?

Odd. That is one issue I've never had, and one of the reasons I like it so much. Do you shake it? Could be a reaction to a seal/wax other than Adams? I use either an Uber grey or Borderless Blue MF towel.

    Holy crap.

I use the border less blue and do shake it before applying. Like I said, I don't have the issue occur every time. This is NOT the new formula, as I am still working in the 36 oz that I bought last year. Have a little less than half a bottle left. But, the salesman up by me has said that the product is pretty much the same. He did screw me though on selling me the old polish, but Adams customer service took care of me on that one.

Tough to say. I would have requested a replacement early on. Adams customer service is amazing, so I feel sure if you tell them you have been trying to work with it, but something is just not right, they will send you a 16oz replacement. Let me know if you need a contact. Ashley is so good to me and my customers.

I am good with Adams. I sent an email asking some questions and they took care of me. Anytime I ran into a issue, they were more than willing to help out.

Yup Yup Yup you have "issues". LOL. Wish I had those issues. I settled in on the Menzerna polishes, Wolfgang Fuzion and Pinnacle Souveran a few years back and stopped looking as well. Every now and then I may try a wax to see if I like it. I am getting ready to put c quartz on the Tacoma. This is to get ready for a detail on a MB.

Over the past 45 years or so I have tried more products than I can remember. I have a lot of polishes sitting around getting old. I find that Menzerna polishes feel comfortable to me.

Find a product you like and use it often. ;)

Why do so many people think it's OK to use products engineered for use on paint on their glass?

I'm amazed at the idiotic things people have told others to use on their glass lately in TW. Everything from steel wool to stove top cleaner and all the abrasive products in between.
