    Morning, fellas!

Well, it's finally happened. After many "Should I buy this Taco" threads, I finally found my reg cab Prerunner.

She's an '02, 98k miles, in Lunar Mist. Interior is MINT. Exterior above average with some bedliner-induced rust, and some stone chips and scratches. Standard fare. Came with some nerf bars, and some insanely offsetted wheels that I am looking to replace. I prefer the tall and thin wheel/tire look, and these suckers are wide.

The front I think has a spacer, and it's higher than the back that may be sagged. I will look into this after a few fixes and noises the truck has now.

There's a chirping from the cab or just forward of the bed at highway speed that only happens with a passenger that's driving me crazy. lol first things first.

Then after a FULL replacement of all fluids, filters, plugs, the works. She needs some love and a solid baseline.

The few facts I got from him were not exactly true so I'm treating this one auction-score style. NO history, start it all over.

Nice looking 02' Tacoma welcome to the family, did you do a transmission flush or just a drain?

I've got a touch under 69,000 miles on mine and I'm trying to decide if it's time for one or the other.

Always drain and fill. Full flushes are not recommended. If you drain and fill every 30k miles your fluid should stay nice and cherry red. If it doesn't, get a tranny cooler and drain/fill sooner. If you waited too long, then keep draining and filling until it runs red.

Too many horror stories from flushes. I never do em and only do drain /fills with T-IV. Never had a problem.

So yes, do a drain and fill to keep your fluid red.

Nice buy! I have the exact same baseline truck as you, but in white with stock rims and no nerf bars and no bedliner on the bedrails. Got mine at 120K.
