I'm considering removing my S/C and going back to stock. Anybody have experience with this? Any idea what parts I'll need besides an intake plenum and new alternator belt? I imagine some new vacuum hoses but I'm not exactly sure where to start.

Haha, I'll take that into consideration.

The S/C and URD something-or-another (haven't really checked to see what kit was installed, just see the URD calibration unit bolted to the floor in the cab) was installed by the previous owner and I have no idea how many miles it has. It works great but I'd rather just sell it and use the funds to help fix the various suspension and steering problems it has.

A stock upper and middle intake might just sweeten the deal:D

could be 1 of 2 things.

7th injector kit or the 6th injector kit.

Either way, the box will need unwired from the ECU. If its the 7th injector, there will just be a T for the fuel line to the additional injector. But it should be installed in the SC itself. So it'll come with the SC.

If its the 6th injector kit that means you got all new injectors and you wouldn't HAVE to swap back to stock ones. But you wouldn't be getting anything out of having bigger injectors.

Fuel pump and spark plugs are probably the things you won't pull from the setup.

    URD 7th:http://urdusa.com/p1260518512/URD-7....html?osCsid=2e89e8efa306f22ca7b2572b1a05a12d

    URD 6th: http://urdusa.com/Fuel-Upgrades-URD...for-TRD-5VZ-FE-Supercharger/product_info.html

Will be install instruction in those links as well. Just do em backwards.

Why would you want to go back to stock? You could just go back to the stock Trd stuff and slow it down a little.

getting rid of the URD fuel upgrades though means pinging will be very likely.

I've seen many people run with just the Trd set up. You can get your fuel right with out the URD stuff. Scotty at addicted off road does it all the time.

nope, not on a first-gen. the only controllers available piggy-back on the ecu, leaving it untouched.

elevation is key here. Higher elevations means less oxygen so the ping issue can usually be avoided. Lower elevations now so much though.

OP, you have a larger fuel pump as well. The guy I bought my supercharger from said his truck didn't start very well when he removed the supercharger and 7th injector kit, but left the larger pump. Don't forget that. What he did for the fuel line if yours is tee'd off was leave the tee in, but capped off the side that went go to the 7th injector. But the next guy would need a new tee.

I agree with that start but I've seen some
At lower elevations run just fine with hight test gas and no ping. We are lucky at elevation though.

I ping with 91. It's the highest octane I can get. I will get the 7th injector installed one day though.

yea but then you have to carry octane booster or other additives with ya.

better to just have the correct fuel delivery.

Agree and disagree, but can't you achieve that with just a larger fuel
Pump. People were doing it long before the URD stuff came into play. My point is the 7th injector kit is not the only solution.

Gobias, I posted in the Utah thread. I can help you get the uninstall and installation of stock stuff taken care of if you want it. Of course I'd like to trade my stock intake parts and uninstall/install costs for the SC. Let me know.
