it's not a problem, I've been sleeping 4-6 hours on average since my first job in HS. I'm rested, just so used to the mid-shifts now that it gets a little weird on my days off. At least I have my garage to mess around in without disturbing the whole house. ;)

Thanks for the concern though.

this is the one we're looking at.

    http://anchorage.craigslist.org/boa/4364309051.html

We have a 15'8" model now with a 25HP Yamaha; but the boat is 27 yrs old. We bought the motor new in 2010. They last a really long time surprisingly. And we get a lot of use outta of it with not much overhead like a big boat. We dip net Salmon in the Copper river from it. Then launch from the beach with an ATV from Deep Creek out into Cook Inlet to catch Halibut about 3 miles out.

When Winter comes we hang the motor on a stand in the garage and roll the boat up to store in the shed. So again not so much storage costs like a big boat.

So do the solid floors go in before inflating or after?
That's a very nice boat, motor and trailer for that money.

you inflate partially leaving some slack; then put the floor in and inflate the rest of the way to firm it up around the floor.

Yeah, we figure that rig is ballpark $13k to $14k new. We'll probably go look at it this afternoon.

    Affirmative.
Just got good news. The folks are looking for a winter retreat close to me!
Possibly lakeside. My grandmother is 90 in july. She drives, sews. and will match beer for beer or shots of vodka with me any thxgiving or CHRISTmas visit home.
I just pray she is ready for another move.

Funny how all the old timers that ate all that cholesteral, bacon/pig fat, lived the farm life and all live to be those ages.
Hunted deer most of her younger life, skinned that shit out, processed and lived dirt poor.
But whata FINE place for me to be raised.

Here's a pic of me admiring someones "58" chevy convo.
    Pretty famous person in indiana.
I replaced the plastic rear window in it.

    Anyone?

That is really great news Rich! :woot:

No kidding on the old timers and diet etc. i don't think the natural fat on a farm raised organically feed hog is nearly as bad for you as all the processed, steroid laced etc meat and other foods they are selling in the supermarkets these days. The more "technology" they throw into the process the more skeptical I am of the food being produced. Don't get me wrong, technology is a great thing applied in the right places; but some things should be kept simple. IMHO

And your grandmother sounds like an awesome lady.

    The pressure is on!

Based on the fact you (and I) grow up around Bloomington, Indiana and the somewhat "vintage" appearance of the photograph, I'll guess one of the following. John "Cugar" Melloncamp, Bill Cook, David Lee Roth, Bobby Night or maybe one of the Kinsers.

Of course Bobby Helms (jingle bell rock version in Berverly Hills Cop) was from Martinsville but, didn't have two nicked to rub together. Otherwise if not from Bloomington, or close, it'd be a SWAG.

    Did I win? :)

Damn Rich I've got the same deal. My mom is 80 & my dad 84 but are in decent health thow we had major scare last year after back surgery went bad for my mom. My mom is deaf (genitic) & my father is blind (3 years now) but we were farm raised growing our own fruits & vegetables (lots of canning) and raising out own beef, pork and poultry. We also always hunted eating deer, squirrel & rabbit. My mom & dad are typical conservative & traditional people. She cooked and stayed home while we were kids (though she's was & is a nurse) and my dad worked. We didn't eat "healthy" then or now really. Use real butter, drink regular milk, eat cheese & red meat but we're all healthy. I really wonder if is is/was our lack of preservatives & processed foods. Other than my fathers mother my grand parents (all raised the same) all lived well into their 90s.

On the folks staying near you... My parents stay with me during the cold months and at their place north of Bloomington during the summer. I'm single & my boy is out of the house but their staying adds to me being busy but, I really consider myself lucky to be able to spend these years with my parents. I'm glad you're going to get the same benefit.

Good one! Ole Johny mellencamps "58" chevy.
One of my first jobs working at a trim shop in the mid "90"s was to replace the plastic window in the rear of this convert.
Of course he never showed up to pick it up but rather sent his people.

Anyone else have to call in to take a piss? Then they say we'll send some one out. 2 hours later..still waiting for a person. This happens a few times a week. I think it is time for another job. Only 13 days left!!!

    If you only knew! :playball:

I'm a "fuel clerk". Don't have a customer from 9:30 until closing time. The closest restroom is about 100yds away, and I'm not allowed to leave my 8' x 12' box until someone comes out to take my spot. Thing is, no one working in the main store knows how to run the gas station during my shift. Tired of feeling like a prisoner.

Starting an internship at a physical therapy place in May. Once I'm finished with that, I'm either going into the USAF or ARMY. Haven't decided which way to go though, but I'm excited either way!
