I don't swim much and I'm doing pretty good navigating my desk chair :anonymous:

My brother just got one of those, seemed alright from the few seconds I saw it. He and his wife are pretty good researchers so I'd imagine it's pretty good. I also saw another at Costco, might be worth a peek.

Yeah it was a pretty unexpected opportunity. Might be able to scoot home for a month after I finish the rebuild on the main engine on the boat I'm working on now.. We've got $150k and 10,000 pounds of parts waiting to get swapped out!

Hoo, so towing gets a lot more expensive with a HC rear bumper and a swingout.

First off, I needed about a 12" drop.
Since I'm dropping that far, I need a sold steel shank, otherwise I lose tow capacity pretty hard.
Now, there's a bunch of stuff on the back of the truck - like that big tire. Gonna need a small extension to clear it.
Now that I have all this nice stuff I need locking pins to prevent theft. Of course, that means buying two (one for extension, one for ball mount).

I could have possibly bought it cheaper online, but the people at Olympic Trailer saved me from a bunch of mistakes, and they are just about the only outfit in town that has good stuff for offroading and towing. Throwing them a bone is certainly worth it.

I'm almost $300 lighter in the wallet

Certainly different than the $40 or so 3" drop setup from Wal-Mart

    Damn Mike.

    Deterring theft blows.

But it saves $$ in the long haul

Actually that was the cheaper parts. The drop itself was about $129. You can get some adjustable drops that cost upwards of $500, lol.

I did splurge a bit on the pin locks. I got ones where the locks are set to your truck key (these ones). I've got enough damn keys on this truck as is, lol.

If I ever find them. I'll just cruise craiglist for pulleys for awhile. If I see mine...

Parked in front of my place in Corvegas. Unlocked. There isn't a way to lock them without fabbing something up. Used to living back home in the middle of nowhere. Two more terms and I'll be living back out in the sticks!

The parent's farm out in Yamhill. Not quite the middle of nowhere, but a hell of a lot better than Corvegas.

It really is. Only reason I'm here is for school. It is a pretty shitty town though.

Interesting, I always liked it. Maybe I ran with a different crowd in a different area (north/west).

    crap bolted and welded together....
    :spy:

on that note. everyone, hows my tacomaworld broskis?

Also, besides like RF..and Armortech, anyone else sell full skids together? Pelfrey sells separate but it is cheaper then RF package price. Im looking at full skids. Front, Mid, tcase, fuel. And narrowing down who makes LCA skids for Allpros LCA.
