    Hi

I'm looking at a 95 Tacoma ext cab 4x4 SR5 with 117,000 miles. Probably needs about $800 in rust repair on wheel wheel and tailgate. Otherwise in excellent shape including the frame. The guy is asking $8,000. Is this a decent price. High compared to NADA and KBB, but I think it's a rare find for western PA rust belt. Thanks

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I bought my 95 Tacoma Xtra Cab (172,565 miles) in August and it was in perfect condition and paid $5700, it was kept extremely well and only had paint scratches (no frame rust, no body rust, no interior damage). It is a 4x4, 5-speed, and has the 4cyl 3RZ-FE motor (also in perfect condition). That will give you an idea of where you should get the price to, after all was said and done (taxes and registration...) it totaled $6500. Yours seems high considering there is rust damage on the body but maybe if it is a 6cyl 5VZ-FE the value is there. Use common sense, a vehicle is only worth what someone will pay for it. Hope you can talk them down a bit, you'll enjoy the truck either way I'm sure.

    I bought a 95 4x4 reg cab 3RZ 5 speed for $2500. Has 184,000 I think when I bought it.
I have put about $1300 in it so far?
all new brake hardware at all wheels. Ebrake cables and bell cranks. struts/springs, leaf springs and shocks, cat back exhaust.

Frame is solid and undercoated already.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Looks like a great find! So many mods you can do to that one...same body style as mine. Hell, if it was closer, I'd even consider it as another project vehicle.

My '97 had 128K when I bought it and thought that was a totally reasonable price.
