the cash for clunkers program is very strict....after the customer turns in the car. the engines have to be locked up by basically pouring in liquid glass...it has a name but thats the best i can describe it...and it is pretty much government property...the dealership can be fined up to $15000 dollars per vehicle if the proper conditions are not met...i work for a dealership and we have tons of these pieces of shit on the lot...to qualify your car has to get 18mpg or under and the car you buy has to get 8 more mpg, have to own the car for a year, continuous insurance, and has to be in driveable condition. The paper work for trading one in is horrible.

no he wasnt, the bodys def in bad shape but i didnt care cause im just gonna make it worse. as long as the tranny clutch engine and 4x4 worked good and it def does for how much i payed. and the motors actually from a 1990 so its a little newer, brand new starter power steering pump battery front axle was recently rebuilt so i cant complain
