Some models were sx. The difference from my original taco reg cab was not much. Sx came with alloy wheels, much bigger than 225/75/15 which came on just tacoma. Sx gave crome fender trim. Sx must have had 456 to turn the bigger wheels/tires. Other than that I haven't seen anything different. Still only had 2 sp wipers!!

What is everybody's thoughts on Nitro Gears? I'm thinking about re-gearing from 4.1 to 4.56 with 32x11.50s coupled with aftermarket bumpers and winch.

I think people will tell you to go to 4.88s because it's probly not worth it just switching to 4.56s. Especially with all that extra weight you'll have. But what do I know. I love my nitro gears so far

Swapped into 456 from 358. Big difference, much more get up and go. My 2.7 needed it. Soon going to 32's. Also haven't seen big mpg difference if I drive right. Can't tell how much difference you will see going from 410 to 456.

Thanks, guys! I found a pretty good deal on some Nitro 4.56 gears; so, I was curious to learn about people's personal experience with the brand. I may not notice much of a difference between 4.10 and 4.56...only time will tell. I just hope these gears are stronger than stock gears.

My truck came with a rear elocker since it's a TRD model, would there be a reason to switch it with an ARB air locker? Or should I just put an ARB air locker in the front?

4.10's here. 3,000 is not crazy zinging rpm's,,just for the viewpoint. You don't go red till 5500 with a 5 speed. I have stuck it up close there a few times,,sounded pretty happy. Now don't get crazy and start setting your cruise at 5490 rpms all day long,,,,was just observing. Once you start to customize, mileage with a truck is optional the way I see it.

Maybe a locker in the front and open rear? Best of both if possible. Haven't done my research on it but have had some ideas.
