X2. I ordered gallon interior/ carpet cleaner, new clay (almost out), new liquid paint sealant (didn't need but the short curing time was too tempting to pass up), and microfiber pads.

Time to get the Taco in shape.

Haha! I still use the Intensive and Finishing polishes now and then (Can see on the far left just behind the Adams Revive). Maybe some FMJ as well. Fuzion is great, and the Total Swirl 3.0 is as well. Loved those.

Same here. I have tossed so many good products over the years, and behind that wall of Adams, are many others that I have not gotten around to discarding, or plan to keep for others cars.

Idiots are everywhere, and they continue to fuck one another  I have used "Auto Glass Water Spot Remover" out of Eugene, OR for MANY years, and still do.

Haha, its nicer than my living room too :p I only listen to XM while in the garage, and I mix my rum in the kitchen. Plenty of condoms in the toolbox though.

I'm all about the new LS. Best I have used thus far. Wolfgang and Blackfire also do some good ones.

The old formula streaks a LOT more than the new one. The new blend is supposed to stop that. But in the end its just relabeled Speed Wipe.

its sad what some people will believe these days just by someone posting it.

I've said it before, people can overpay for the same product. If you care to look around, you can find the manufacturers and spend 30-50% less. Dont be sucked into a "forum power" vendor. Behind the high prices is the same products others sell with a different sticker.

But again, believe what you want. Ill continue to save my money because of insider info from personal friends from deep inside the detailing community. Not just hack forum detailers.

once again, friendship aside you're wasting your money on rebottled items. Im trying to save others who obviously care about the money they spend.

Personally tested many many products against eachother.

    Maybe so.

How about producing some test results? Always on the look out for a new/better product.

three are adams pads, two are MF pads. One MF pad is Buff & Shine, the other is Adams MF pad. Can you tell the difference because i cant. Buff & Shine MF pads are $7 and Adams sells their relabeled MF pads for $15

Top two are two different pads. One is older Adams one Chemical Guys. Can you tell the difference? One was $6 one was $13

Wiped both with a foam applicator
    [IMG]

Both have grape smell, last the same length of time and look identical.

    CG is $8
    Adams is $13

    Results?

SW performed just like Adams Detail Spray (DS). No streaking, no funky spotting. Only difference was that it left my great white drying towel a lil pinker than DS.

I sprayed the entire panels with SW, went around and dryed it all off, then buffed lil spots I missed with a double soft towel...looked good. Then moved on to my wheels, sprayed SW and wiped off with a utility mf towel. No difference.

    CG $9
    Adams $13

Ive tested sealants as well but its just a longevity and have to trust me on that because its hard to prove in photos. But quality was equal, cost was less.

Im by no means pushing Chemical Guys but i wanted to compare the two because they're extremely similar. "Too similar" if you catch my drift.

Sealant i use Sonax Netshield and water just drips off my paint and it dries itself basically.

Black Light from CG for my glaze.

Sonax Perfect finish is also a great glaze/topper

Towels i strictly buy from theragcompany.com they have a $30 minimum order but its really not that hard to formulate a $30 order. Shipping is INSANELY fast. Take a look for yourself, the towels should look awfully familiar (because they are) but the price point is a LOT better.

the new liquid paint sealant? Its easy on/off. I've used it for one car i did from a friend. It seemed nice, but i like the aerosol version of better. Its easier for me and i can see where it goes on as opposed to Adams Quick Sealant.

I really like Sonax Poly Netshield because of the massive hydrophobic properties.

The aerosol is the "Quick Sealant". The Quick Sealant is very good, as is the Sonax.

im well aware. Its ok, but you cant see where you apply it. I hate that. Also wish they could figure out how to keep the cap on after use. Price point is also very high for fl oz.

^Yep, I also dislike that I cannot see where I am going.

I push Duragloss 652 weekly for such. I had a guy yesterday tell me how well it did on his white D3 S8. Its cheap too, so not much lost if you are not pleased.

What's the best way to clean inside the engine compartment? As I understand it, it's best to clean it when the engine is cold (as most water from the hose is cold) which I'd have to do to clean off most of the dirt that's found it's way in there...but are there any sprays that can help?

    Later.

    Head unit. That's it.

I use a product from ZEP. Engine degreaser. Spray it on, let it sit for 15 minutes, (while I was the truck at a wash bay) then pressure wash it off with rinse water. Drop the hood, rinse the truck...Works really well.
