Bump Stops

    So I've had a Dakar leaf spring installed for the past couple of weeks without the stock bump stops. I haven't done any heavy off roading but I was wondering if bump stops should be added or not? I ended up taking off the stock because they wouldnt fit with the Dakars. Thanks!

    Alright then. Are there better aftermarket options than the stock bump stops? Preferably easier to install than taking off the u bolts to put on ?

    u bolts are easy to loosen up... stock bump stops will work just fine with dakars... done that exact install on my buddies taco.... dont let your "buddy" touch your truck ever again.

    Maybe your buddy thought they wouldn't fit because the Dakar centre pin was contacting them

    Take a drill and bore the holes in the stock bump stops slightly deeper. From what I can recall that is all I had to do.

    Correct!! Take the factory bump stop and drill a hole to fit the center pin.
