Brought the telescope to work tonight, going to try and sneak out at lunch to get a peek at Mars which is at it's closest point to the earth in about 6 or 7 years.

Yup...tonight has been much needed! ;)

 They look bigger there compared to what I've seen on TV.

At least there's no Mangement on nights....clearly the only benefit that I see.

I've used my daughters cheapo telescope to check on the ladies at the neighborhood pool. Call it a Lifeguard patrol from far away.

I got lucky. When I lived there we would launch the boat out of Cutright and fish the on the northwest corner of the 46 bridge. John was building his house there at that time.

Dude that some bullshit, I'd be over that in about 30 seconds.

    Hey Rob.

Very cool. I enjoy pics of different perspectives from the norm.

Thanks guys. So far so good... My sister flew into Memphis last night at 11pm (an hour from Oxford) and we had to get up at 4:30a. But, it's my first time on a train so I'm wide awake. I did have to clue them in last night. They were all for it.

We really missed the 60th anniversary because my mom was in ICU. We really weren't sure we get to this one so I'm happy.

On another note, the area I had to leave the Tacoma is pretty shady so I took EVERYTHING out of it last night except my registration and proof of insurance...even took the ball off for the hitch. If it gets jacked, I'll be looking at a 4Runner...I think. I also found (or just noticed) someone stole my cleats for the bed rails. Bastards! :)

So. I take a nite off from work and the place goes to Hell in a handbasket.
We are still shit behind on my machine so they let a first shift contractor have a stab at running it.
Apparently it wasn't gritting fast enough for him so now I have clogged lines, blown out pinch valves and half my fixtures and rigging straps are missing.

No ops leader. No shift coordinator. No management.
Just now managed to find one lift fixture after walking the 1/4 mile to the other end of the bay.
Gonna take a break before I start that walk again to look for the other.

I was a contractor just after high school for b.f. Goodrich and I busted my ass everyday because my pops was in managent and got me on. So I had something to prove and I thought one day I hoped to get hired on full time.
These kids here don't do shit. Some of them barely show up for work yet they still keep them.
To them its all about getting a paycheck. Nothing more.
    Rant over. :)

And I might add, he didn't even bother putting in work orders for any of the stuff that needs fixed.
    Damn kids.

Not sure what company you work for Rich though I do know what type of work you do. I've worked at a few large employers and it almost seems like going to public schools. Where everything is dumbed down to the lowest level performer. At some point I got to a point and decided "if it's good enough for (name the employer), it's good enough for me." I don't wear a white shirt (have in the past & don't want to any more) and I can't change it. But, it is frustrating and used to be more annoying to me. I've worked at places where the "go getters" get in trouble for asking their co-workers why they don't perform better. At this point, I'm just hoping wherever I work last until I retire.
