Houston area (along with DB's not from Houston) BS thread

From what ive read a Cat-back is alright on the stock tune. It doesnt hurt to tune it but it wont hurt the car if you dont. Anything after that requires a tune. So if I add a down pipe or an up pipe or a BOV. Which is why I wont be doing anything like that.

The car is getting an exhaust and some cosmetic changes and thats it. I dont have the money to start playing the "I want 300 horsepower, now I want 350 and then 400" game so im just gonna stick with what I have. Plus I bought it because it gets decent mpgs while being a fun car to drive

Friend had a '11 wrx. Stage two in the first week. DP, Catback, intake, various AP tunes. Car was still slow lol. He went stage 4 Subaru, complete evo conversation. Couple mods on the evo and he pulls hard til 100.

 

Thats cool.. like I said, I didnt buy the car to dump 10 grand into so I could race high school kids on the streets.

 

Was waiting for one of them to say something about top heavy and tipping over

 

Just think of it as a little extra crush zone for a rollover. Makes for a safer truck
