The Roof Rack for the Access Cab is here. Details and pricing can be found in the original post. I will be installing the first one this weekend if all goes well on Camerons (shutterbugs truck).

    A couple of announcements.

    1. I got a bit delayed getting some orders out this week due to some school projects and a sick kid but am working as quickly as possible to get everything going out.

Evenflow, your rack is getting powdercoated now.
J4RR, yours should be shipped by Monday.

Everyone else can expect a ship date of Tuesday or Wednesday.

    2. The winner of the drawing for the rotopax setup is J4RR. Congratulations! I think I remember you saying you prefered a 4 gallon gas setup. If prefer something different let me know.

    3. Access cab rack is still on track to be installed today.

    4. I will have more rails in stock starting monday for those who are interested in purchasing.

Accessrac! Thanks to Cameron for letting me do the first install on his truck. We ended up using 5/16" rivet nut plusnuts (6 per side) for mounting and it turned out great. They are extremely strong and gave a nice clean finish.

I do not have a factory roof rack . So , will I have to drill into roof. If so have you had any leaking issues. Is it pretty simple to install.

If you have a double cab like your details say then there are factory mounting holes in your roof under the weather stripping already. No drilling required. Easy bolt on application. If you have a access cab then you will have to drill and install rivet nuts like shown above. We sealed very well with silicone during installation and don't expect leaking.

I've been wondering about these installation. Is it possible to replace the gutter strips with the rack on if cut? Or to drill the strips and mount through them. I recall at one point some company offered small pointed screws that you put in and push the strip down onto hard I order to mark the hole locations. Anybody know about these? Or what size the thread is I could just use a small post to do the same.

The plan is just to punch holes in the strips allowing the spacers and mounting bolts to pass through allowing you to install the rack and the weather strips. I haven't been able to do mine yet due to lack of time but I know MrGrimm did it with his Front Runner Roof Rack to allow for the installation of his rack with the weather strips.

Here is the link where he installed his rack with the hole punch info.

I actually watched the install back in October.

They are nice systems but WAY overpriced IMO...

Yeah, I originally wanted the front runner rack. My lack of cash eventually led to the development of this one. I keep the prices as low as possible on these so people can have something with similar features without the big price tag.
