Oh shit did anyone else realize that Sunday is Mothers Day???

That's going to be a hard sell.. We've taken my mom to a mothers day breakfast/brunch every year for the last 19 years. And even though I used to think we did it to be nice, I have since found out that it is not optional so long as I live under their roof

Also Easter brunch, that's not optional either..

 

Yup that's why I'm going on Saturday! Tell your mom it's a field excercise that starts Saturday after your test and they let you off the mountain Sunday Haven't you ever told a white lie before?

 

Yea... i mentioned in before in the camping thread. .. my wife may come with, my mom passed, and my mother in law is on the mainland.. I'm good..

I plan on leaving Sunday as soon as someone can lead me off the mountain... what ever time that may be..

 

Okay, well if it happens to get moved to a different weekend then in in for sure! But as for the 10th-11th I'll have to see. So far it's not going over very well at all..

 

Technically early dinner is way better than brunch. Brunch is just a late breakfast... lol.. just like going to McDonald's at 10:15 and can't get real food for another 15 minutes..

problem solved. .. plus, unless you already made reservations, I think all the brunch places are booked already.. at least the good ones.. and I may totally be wrong...

 

I just ordered my VLEDs Triton 6k switchback. Pretty pricey - 152.99 shipped. There's a group buy but I couldn't wait. Lol super stoked!

 

Yea Mother's Day is quite important with my family as well. Haha most likely I'll be in for Saturday and off the mountain Saturday as well. Any time frames thought of yet? Gotta find out what's the latest they allow us to drive back down at the end of Saturday.

 

That would be ideal for me too, but that damn test.. Guess it's not in the stars

On a different note, I was playing at Kaena on Sunday and as I was leaving a 2nd gen, black , bullet proof 8-10" lifted Tacoma with big rims low profile tires was comming in. I was like , Ho shit Wats going on hear....I was going to play with him and see where he goes. But, it took him a 5 point turn and about 5 minutes to get into the first right after the gate. So I just continued down the hill cause it would have taken forever to make it to the sand.

 

That just goes to show you that size doesn't matter!

 

How would you go about wiring that up?

 

FYI... Headstrong is having a lighting sale.. I emailed them and got quoted the Rigid SRQ back-up kit for 199.99 shipped. Will take 1-2 weeks to get in from Rigid (as they don't have those stocked), but I may jump on that. Amazon is $25 more, and truckfest... don't get me started on that again.. lol..

 

She got her first 1K miles. Been a joy to drive. Hope to get a lot more out of her.

 

I ordered headlights for my 2007 tacoma, and of course after a month of waiting i received 2001-2004 tacoma headlights…They're crystal black. Not really trying to hassle with sending them back and worrying about getting my money back. Trying to sell to someone on Oahu… Private message me if you're interested, please! Just trying to get rid of them.

After washing my truck yesterday i got bored an sprayed most if my exhaust black. Left the tip polished sprayed from there all the way to the seconds cats.

 

It was dry
