I live on the south side of savannah and work on Ft. Stewart. My Taco is recently acquired and I am getting frustrated with the lack of good info on off-roading areas in my neck of the woods. I am sure there must be some fun to be had on post and I know that there is still some land without housing developments on it (though it is disappearing quickly), so my search begins. The next few months promise to be full of a lot of wrong turns and hopefully not too many hurt feelings, but I will post what I find for the other residents of the low country.

What color of Taco do you drive? I drive a geen 95 model xtra cab. I wonder on Ft. Stewart where the MASH Helicopter is out front of the building....

I roll in a black 09 DC off road. Usually in the 3-7IN parking lot on William H. Wilson. I'll keep an eye out.

Unfortunately, I am missing Ron White, but going up to HH for the weekend ain't too shabby. For those of you in the military community on or near Fort Stewart, I went and got a recreation/camping permit today for $15. It lets you access the vast majority of the training areas minus the ones that are in use on a given day and impact areas (no argument there). So long as its an "established trail" I should be good to go. You can also get a big topo map of the training areas that has the roads/trails that are not on the standard Stewart map. I plan on going out tomorrow for the majority of the day (gotta love 3-days). Let the exploration begin.
