Nice car for sure! Was gonna buy a FRS but decided on a bass boat instead lmfao!!!

 

I drove a few of them & this was the best of the bunch.

I went last week to my local stealership and drove the same car (identical color too) that was a 2014 with 13 miles on the ODO.
That was listed for 21K
This one is a 13 with all the same shit and has 11K on the ODO.
I got it for $16.6K
Today was my first full day with it for work & it's great!

Gotta get used to getting in & out of a car that low to the ground tho.

 

I know you older guys like chrome..... you could put some big chrome 20s on it and some low pros so it'd sit a little higher

Yes - It is the Leer 100XQ with the factory Thule Rail system.

 

Speaking of that, here is the new rack system I'll be building.
I got the parts from zscott - he's got a thread in the B/S/T section for them.



They are 1/4" aluminum and came UN-drilled but with all the needed mounting hardware.
Since I'm not 100% sure on how I want the cross-bar system Zach was kind enough to sell me just the parts I need.

More to come on this later...

I also FINALLY bought a matching wheel and tire for my spare - I'll have them mounted & balanced in time for Rausch this coming weekend.

 

You going to put that spare into rotation or keep it pristine?

 

The other 4 are about half gone so this ones going to have to sit on standby.

 

Speaking of which, what's the patter for rotating in your spare?

 

I try to avoid lifting them as much as possible.

I also avoid changing the oil myself.

Its in your owners manual. Its an old practice that pretty much no one does anymore. You just rotate them in a circle according to the manual. I personally don't do it but if i had oversized tires and a full size spare, i would consider it....

SHEEEIT! Oil changes? Can change it in my sleep.

The tire's @ NTB in Bensalem - I'll just have them mount & balance it for me.

yea what time u leaving? iam still kickin around taking 4 runner/do u have to be registered to get in rausch?

 

I want to be on the road around 6am.
I don't think so... seen a lot of dedicated trail rigs up there that in no way were road worthy.

Throw it on the trailer so you don't wrinkle the mall crawler!

 

Even if they are all brand new it usually doesn't make sense to rotate the spare. Some manufacturers even suggest keeping tires on the same side and just rotate front to back so the steel belt continues spinning in the same direction, potentially avoiding damaging its self.




Craig I'm interested to see how the rack turns out. I thought it looked pretty neat but doesn't suit my needs well enough. I also would prefer steel over aluminum.
