3" Spacer Kit vs Bilstein 5100

I have 2003 double TRD with 90K on it and am going to finally start to modify my truck. I do some off-roading but at least 80% of the time I will be on pavement. I will eventually go to a 3" coil over but to start am trying to decide whether to put on a 3" spacer on top of my OEM struts or replace the front with the 5100s. Right now I am more interested in improving the ride quality and will putting a 2" ToyTec AAL on the back and 285s undereneath.

Any advise/experience on ride quality, etc would be appreciated.

 

Spacer=horrible ride and premature wear on parts.

 

So - don't bother with the spacers and just go right to the 5100s?

These will eventually be replaced also but this is what I can afford to do right now.

 

5100's. Spacer lifts should be illegal they are so bad

 

Thanks - the 5100s will be ordered today - now if I can only decide on wheels! All I know at this point is that they will be black.

 

could i do 5100s with my spacer lift? ride isnt bad just want to throw new shocks on front and rear

Dude, take it from me...you'll regret not getting a true suspension lift!

 

Don't waste your money. Do it once and do it right.
