Getting ready to purchase some rims for my TRD Off Road. Need some advise on finish. Chrome is classic but black seems to be the new trend. Should I get chrome with a billet grill or black with a satoshi?

I will tell you this, 99.9999% of all new chrome rims will start to pit and look like shit within a year. Even though I prefer chrome rims, I would go for the black. But why not gunmetal or silver or something else? Everybody does chrome/black.

I would look at the polished aluminum.

The black have that south of the border look, like a car missing its hubcaps.

You know they make black chrome right? It looks pretty cool in my opinion. If I had a SWB truck, I'd put silver BBS's on it.

Man, I must be the .0001% because my 22" Chrome Milannis on my Tahoe went through four Pacific NW winters without any issue. Of course I did not neglect them so that helped.

I say go for something other than black. Black is so 2008. Go with something fresh.

^I guess I am too because I've owned various chrome wheels over the years and never had a problem. I think 99.9999% of what that dude says is just plain wrong.

    Black.

Not really there guy. What kind of rims did you have? Because most of the chrome rims that people put on trucks now are cheap and made it China. Gear, Ultra, Pacer, etc. I meant to say new, my mistake.

Most of us just aren't big on chrome anymore, particularly on these trucks.

OK, I would agree with that then.

Maybe if you had some pictures of wheels you liked it might be a little more helpful, some wheels that come both black and chrome look good in one but not the other.

With the speedway blue, chrome would look good. But it would be pretty bling bling, look at me! If it was my trruck, I'd put on some black wheels, tint the windows and add a black grill. That would be bad ass
