but this wouldn't work with black market guns... and there is ALWAYS a way around technology... granted, it'd be expensive (at first at least), and not every criminal is going to plan it out... but I think it's the same old shit... trying to stop criminals by restricting the lawful owner

Let's take a look at the sandy hook shooting and the LAPD shooting, both legally owned guns, one taken from mom, one was a registered security operator/guard.

No doubt numerous crimes are committed in gang shootings with black market guns and shit but these two particular incidents were legit guns.

I agree with you though, cutting our rights to prevent violence when people are gonna be violent regardless. Seems like they are "trying" to prevent crimes being committed with legally owned guns by people not the legal owners. But this doesn't help when a crime is committed by legal gun owner using his own gun.

It's all a bunch of cock in ass knee jerk fuckall.

 

exactly... and so here's another question, since you brought up Sandy Hook... he stole his parent's gun... would my kids be able to shoot my gun (if I had kids)... Up hunting, many years I use my brothers or father's gun... and sometimes they'll use mine... or better yet, my brother hand loads my ammo... so he'll go fire it before the season to make sure everything is working right...

either they'd restrict it to only the true owner (which would be interesting because Oregon is a non register state...) or Sandy Hook would still be a possibility...

I think this is another "hot topic" to get uneducated voters to jump in the booth...
