A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I was on the fence about trading it for just a pump but I am glad I didn't. Very fun to shoot.

As long as you stick with heavy loads/high brass and clean it every 200 round or so it's every bit as reliable as a pump anyway.

And it was overpriced in 2011.

2009/2010 I was buying 100rd WWB 9mm FMJ "Value Packs" at Walmart for $22. A box of 20 JHP+P was about $20 at stores, but I could get the LE packs of $50 for $30.

Now you're lucky to find WWB (even though I hate the stuff)... if I see 9mm at WalMart it's either Remington UMC or Tula... I'd rather shoot WWB.

Gotta pay to play I guess. I got a box of 308 20 rounds 21 bucks. Sucks but it's better than the 40 bucks for 20 at Walmart. I don't shop for ammo at Walmart for that reason.

I am seriously considering the XDm 45 acp as my first handgun purchase in a couple weeks when I turn 21. I am also signed up for the concealed carry class. 85 days to get it back is insane.

Have you shot the XDm in all three calibers?

I've shot it in 9 and 40, but not 45.

I encourage you to shoot one first

Not because they are bad...but the XD line isn't for everyone...just like Glocks or any other pistol out there

Shoot some before you go drop a bunch of money to find out you can't shoot it worth a damn

I've owned 2 XD pistols, one an XD40 and one an XDm45

I couldn't shoot for shit with either one...but my Glocks work perfectly for me...the XD line is a fine pistol just like the Smith M&P ones...but they don't work for me

I've never shot a sig :anonymous:

I'm better with the mp than I am with an XD but it ain't great

I pretty much figure out whether or not I'm gonna purchase/keep a pistol in the first 2 mags based on how well I point shoot it

This is from the RIA 1911, but I've got targets that look just like this in 9mm from both the original XD9 Service and Glock-26.

I'm the opposite. I've never shot my Glock 19 as well as I would like, but I can drive tacks with my M&P45 after only a few hundred rounds.

I carry the 229 on duty and HATE it! The trigger sux! It's forever long (DAO) and is set at like 12-14lbs.... Great shooting range gun I guess but under less than ideal conditions I for see real accuracy issues.

Makes sense. Only one place around me that I can think of that might let me consider shooting one before buying it.

Have not. I want a 45. I'm just partial to it I guess. My father and grandfather have one in their collections. Plus me and my dad are setup for reloading 45acp and have a ton of brass for the 45.

I can see where DAO would be tough. I have a P228 in DA/SA and love that trigger more than any of my other pistols. I've gotten to love the DA and the SA break on the Sig trigger so much, that I struggle with other triggers now. I added the SRT sear and this is easily my best shooting pistol.

Guns are like pants, I guess. Everyone eventually finds the one that fits 'em best and sticks with it.

I bought a stripped receiver and parts kit from PSA last night, among other things to make a new upper, details of which I will reveal once done.
