Linden is huge in the BC community and has tremendous respect , that alone would be a positive direction for the current state of the attitude towards the club

 

There are a growing number of Oilers fans that absolutely despise the idea of 'alumni' being involved in the Management or Coaching. I've hated it all along. The more past players that the Oilers brought into the fold, the more they've spiraled downward. Now we're stuck with all these has-beens in the old boy's club - that there's no chance of a culture change. The Oilers will be a bottom feeding team as long as that Management and Coaching system is in place.
There are some that even wish Messier or Gretzky would come into the fold. That would be a monumental mistake. The team would continue to flounder - and then everyone would just end up hating Mess and Gretz!
Clean out the old boy's club (or for you other teams - don't establish it in the first place).

 

Don't worry there are a ton of doctors in the crowd at the ACC... us regular people can't afford tix

 

This should be the Stanley Cup matchup.

I wish one of those jerseys that hit the ice in Edmonton this year had Lowe's name on it. Wonder what he or Eakins would be saying then.

I doubt Neely or some of these other guys would be actually making full presidential decisions for hockey organizations. I think they throw them in an office, give em a suit and are told to smile for a paycheck at the end of the day. Both these guys and the ones who land on networks in front of the camera are in need of money still - didn't make enough or save enough from their playing days.
