Never rode the 05 YZ, but I had an 08 YZ with the KYB SSS forks. They're awesome. The 2012 Husky CR125 I own have the exact same KYB forks. They're valved differently and not quite as good as the YZ forks, but they're still one of the best i've ridden. The Sach's shock isn't as good as the YZ KYB shock though.

BCC me on that text, I want to hear his clever response. Also noticed, he lives in the middle of fucking no where. That is a 6k drop in price in itself just to recoup gas fees. ;)

Ok, so they guy just knows nothing about dirt bikes or computers. He said he did exactly like the manual (actually he said manuel) said and tore the top end apart after warming the bike up and letting it cool down, nothing was replaced just inspected. The manual does say that dut its not really necessarry to start one time and tear down lol. Then he had his niece post the add for him and was shocked when I said $8k was way high

One time start and then a tear down, what a tard..... and I love how he thinks he will get 8k for it. What an idiot.

Yeah I hear the sss is a lot better, my 05 yz 125 before the 250 had race tech revalved suspension and it was great, but the 250 with stock suspension just never worked for me, terrible headshake, front end wanted to knife while cornering, and bottomed out everywhere. I wouldve revalved it and had it reworked if I kept the bike.

How do you like your husky? I wasnt sure about buying one but now I love it, such a fun bike.

It's one of the most comfortable and well suspended bikes I've ridden. The only one that had better suspension was the 08 YZ125, because it was revalved. I'd love to get my Husky revalved someday, but right now I'm not racing, so it's not necessary. The husky is still more comfortable to ride, and handles turns better than the YZ, which says a lot since the YZ is a good handling bike.

The gearbox is odd... I rode it as a 125 and as a 144. The gap between 1st and 2nd is big, and 2nd and 3rd is bigger, beyond that is fine, but when you're banging gears, it seems like its bogging, but in reality it's just struggling to bridge the gap between the gears because they're too far apart. The 144 had the same issue, but it didn't struggle as much.

It's so easy to work on too - I pulled the top end without having to remove the rads or the gas tank.

My main reason for getting the Husky was cuz I came across a smokin deal, and I wanted to get a 144, and the possibility of getting a 165..... I actually now do own the 165 kit, but I haven't ridden it yet this year. They're supposedly the holy grail. I test rode an 08 YZ250, just didn't like how it handled and the power delivery. I'm just a 125 style rider.

Just noticed you have a UNI filter in that pic, those let a ton of dirt through, go with Twin Air instead if you want that motor to last.

Took me a while to figure that out, I have 5 or 6 Uni Filters that are in a box now that I wont use anymore, especially on my CRFs, those things need surgically clean air to live very long.

I am not a brand Loyal Guy, I have and race a Yamaha, a Honda, and a Kawi!

And my Yamaha is a 295, ported, with a WR trans and I just put a brand new top end on it, cylinder and all and after just more than 1 hour the fucker seized!! And that was after 2 short easy break in rides.
Having a little discussion with Millenium Technologies VIA Email currently to find a solution to this. No too happy right now after waiting for over a month to get my parts to only have it shit the bed in one hour!

Now I am racing the KX450f since the Yami is dead again..
And looks like I might be racing in Red Bull last Dog Standing this year on a CR500AF. Talk about excessive power. Not ideal for an Extreme Enduro, and one of the top ten hardest races in the world...

It goes together like a UNI but it actually looks even cheaper than a UNI. Air filter is also on the list but thanks for catching that  I am very picky about parts on my bikes not just working, but being correct. Also ordering some OEM bolts because I hate when there a 3 different types of wrong bolts for thing like the seat or plastics

Good to know about the UNI filter, I just ordered one like a month back so looks like i'll be ordering a new Twin Air soon lol. Gets dusty as fuck up here in the summer time so thats the last thing i need on a newly rebuilt engine.

This^ pisses me off trying to piece together plastics with a bunch of different bolts/screws. I found one of those bolt kits at the local shop and picked it up. Not OEM quality but it gets the job done.
