Lots of peroxide and air it out, try not to wear a shoe too much! Causes a warm place for bacteria to spawn and thrive...

Watch for dark redness, swelling or puss discharge.

I have a lot of experience with infections unfortunately...also an EMT.

If I had access to the supplies I'd be happy to throw in a few stitches. I'd need to give you an antibiotic too. My buddy who is active is deployed.

Duct tape or super glue. When I broke my back my bike pegs sliced open my elbow that's what I used super glue then duct taped it. It burned like hell and when the hospital was done laughing at me they pulled it out and fuck did it hurt haha

Go to the store and get liquid bandage, put that over it to seal it. It will keep the crap out, a wound on your foot is no joke due to the amount of bacteria we have there!!

A warm moist place is the worst area to have a wound, and if its a puncture its even worse since its not easy to clean.

I too bailed on getting stitches. Put some antibiotic gel in the wound, closed it and slapped a layer of super glue on it and some tape to keep it closed. Leaves a scar after but give it time and it should reduce in size.
