The shock assembly charge is added to the cost of the springs and struts. It covers $20 in labor and the necessary parts (top plate, bushings, nuts, studs) to have an assembled C/O unit.

If you are comfortable with doing it yourself, there is no need. You'll re-use the top plate and other parts off of your old C/O assemblies. I prefer not to mess around and let the pros assemble it. Kind of nice to just slap in the new C/O with a few bolts too.

Thanks for the info on the ubolts, missed that somehow. Hoping someone can chime in on the actual performance as well.

Yeah, I figured everything would be included for the assembly, I was just curious about the actual assembly at home and if it was more involved than just compressing the spring when mounting to the truck.

    Thanks again!

OME complete kit w/ 885s on Nitrocharger Sports, 1/4" spacers, Dakars w/ Nitrocharger Sports, LR UCAs, 265/70-17, Duratracs, G4 Elite tonneau, Weathertech Window Deflectors, Weathertech digital floor liners, factory JBL/Entune, rear differential breather relocate.
If you've never done it or don't have someone around that has done it, I wouldn't mess with the springs yourself. There's a lot of pressure behind those springs and you can easily end up missing some body parts if you don't know what you're doing. I'd rather pay a little extra and know I won't be maimed or killed.

Hey guys, I was wanting to install OME 886's on some Bilstein HD's. I've looked through the page and forum for any answers, but I've heard that that may not be possible. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Is it because they're too short? Not criticizing just curious.

Where would be the best place to purchase the entire OME kit. I've seen Toytec, and a place called Rocky-Road 4x4, Wheelers, any others? Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

Looking at OME full kit, or full Billie kit, w/ Dakars and shakle flip.

head strong off road. Best people to deal with ever. Mention TW and they might give a discount. Have the lowest prices around on LR UCAs. I and many others personally have had great experiences with them so that is just my two cent.

So, I may not be on the right track here but with the front 885's with top plate spacers and DAKARS in the rear, the truck seems to be a bit low in the rear. Would like to level and not opposed to favor rear high rake. May even soon be towing a Moby1 trailer. Long story short, who's gone with the D29XL leaf for the extra 15mm lift in the rear and how is the ride effected when not towing. I do have the weight of an ARE Z Series shell and the basket mounted on top of it. Usually keep the tank full and maybe some light load extras

Is anyone running 884s with Nitros and stock UCA??

    alignment issues??
I realize that everyone might bave differences even if they are the same truck.
DCSB here...think i am going to stay with 884 but would rather not get the truck aligned twice....

BTW, headstrong has some good prices on LR and Icons UCAs.

    thanks

I like the front height so much. Would rather leave front as is with it's alignment dialed in

10-20% 4x4. Not much but I do go off road and leave it in 2x.
