Anybody see the thread posted by the kid asking how to get revenge on the brodozers that threatened his truck? That was a good laugh

You guys have any recommendations on skid manufactures? I'm probably getting a Pelfery front plate bumper. Was gonna order there skids at the same time but figured I'd ask around first.

What do you guys think about aluminium skids?

It really depends on how hard you're going to abuse them. I beat the hell out of my 7mm AllPro steel skids and they hold up great, but do have some deflection points from hard hits. Then again... I pre-run rocks at like 30mph and bash them in at speed so... take that for what it's worth.

Aluminum is great to save weight and will still hold up really well unless you're going hardcore crawling all the time. No matter what you do... anything is better than stock.

One thing I would do over again is... full belly flat skids so there's no hang up points.

That's pretty much sums up everything I've been reading - spot on... I'll probably go all Pelfery. I do want to get the exhaust rerouted for the flat skid.

Any exhaust shops you guys recommend?

I have had great experiences with Apache muffler. They always exceeded my expectations and the price was ridiculously cheap. Kind of a hole in the wall type place, but they do good work with a great price in my opinion.

Have any of you guys heard of this place?

    http://northernarizonaalignment.com/

I'm thinking about taking my truck to them to get an alignment since no shop will touch mine (heimed uppers). I know most of you are from the Phoenix area but I thought Id ask.

if you are planning on getting a pelfrey front plate bumper, make sure whatever skids you get fit it as well.
i.e. budbuilt front ifs will not fit most front plate bumpers to include the A/P Apex.

I've been going there for more than 15 years and they have never once did me any wrong. Great shop. If Butch is still there let him do the work if you can. Guy is amazing with exhaust systems.

Icon MT suspension, Pelfreybuilt front bumper, Relentless skids, Avid sliders, Avid custom rack. Pelfreybilt HC Rear bumper.
I have Pelfreybilt front plate bumper and the full set of Relentless skids, they fit together just fine. And to plug the local talent, Avid Off-Road sliders and bed rack all of it is top notch! And the Avid guys are good welders too!
