    They work. I just dremeled the opening a bit on the fender themselves, attached them there and the popped them into the sheet metal when I put them back on the truck. Actually they hold tighter now.

    I interchange them all the time, use pliers to pull them in tight. I haven't run into any issues doing it this way.
