    Hi all,

Long time reader and first time poster :)

I will be honest, I haven't been good to my truck as far washing it on a regular basis but now I would like change that and keep it clean all the time.
I've noticed that "moss" (if that's the right word) is around edges.
Last year I've tried with pressuere wash but that did not help a lot.
Is there a better way to clean it and is there anything I could buy to help?
Here are some up close pictures:

A pressure washer should be able to take that off. Try going to a self service car wash. Use the pre-wash solution. Then rinse it off and stick the tip of the pressure washer wand really close to the moss.

Some kind of mold and mildew killer from your local hardware store is what I would recommend, just not sure if it will harm the paint job. Never seen this on a newer vehicle before

Thats nothing growing, it's just gunk from not being washed. Have it powerwashed, you should be good.

That would probably be pollen. That's one of the three things that are really hard on a vehicles surface. The other 2 being tree sap and bird chit.

Try soaking it with soapy water and keeping it wet for a while before trying to scrub it with a sponge.

    Thanks for the replies guys!
I guess to be safe I should go with ppham444's suggestions. I'm still open to any other solutions.

Just be careful with a pressure washer. You can rip seals with those things

X2. I wouldn't go and use a high power gas pressure washer. I use an electric power washer at home. During winter I use the do it yourself car wash pressure washers. I wouldn't recommend anything more powerful than those. Some of the stronger ones could blast the paint off if you got it to close.

    Bingo.

Moss and mildew will not grow on paint.

But it will grow on cracks and crevices, which is where it is. I really can't tell what it is from the pics

dip a paper towel in a soapy bucket of car wash water and let it sit on that spot for 10 min or so. Then scrub with a micro fiber mit.

I've got a pressure washer but I'm not supposed to use it where I live now. I'm in Lynnwood.

No, it won't grow in cracks or crevices of paint/rubber. That stuff you see there is dried pollen.

    ** Nvrm, I see you're 19 yrs old. ;)

Not straight paint, only if there's some dirt in the cracks for it to live on. I used to detail boats for a living. I've seen Moss, mildew, and mold grow in all kinds of weird places
