Dang, that's like driving to the end of the road we live on, barely far enough to get the oil warm.

Yup haha which is the reason for bad mpg's.
Yes, but you know how things work in the military. You go to work and next thing you know you have to go to the clinic or somewhere else on base to get something. Haha

you drive one way 9 miles 3 times? i feel like this should be an even number. so you drive to work 9 miles (1) back home 9 miles (2) and then back to work the next day 9 miles (3) why are you staying at work instead of driving back home?

Should I replace both my inner and outer cv boots with long travel boots, or just one or the other? I see some places call the boots inner boots, and some say outer. Are they interchange?

You folks with auto trans, shifting into 2nd at 3/4 throttle or more (aggressive acceleration) does your truck seem to stumble a little?

On my truck you can see it shift (on the tach) and you can feel it shift, but then the RPM's drop a little, and slowly raise back up, kinda like a turbo diesel when it's not making boost, it happens when it's warmed up.

The boots aren't interchangeable. The inner accounts for the shape of the tripod cover.

Being lifted, my inner boots on both sides wore right above the axle clamp. My outers were fine (125k miles on them). I replaced them both anyways since the Toyota full boot kit was only a couple dollars more than the inner boot kit. I only did the boot slide mod on the inner boots.

Toyota ordered the wrong spring for the linear mod for clutch pedal. Good waste of gas for a $3 part that was the wrong one.

Isn't it the inner ones that always rip? I'd have to relook at my truck lol

Still something I need to fix eventually.

Yeah, but the RPM's drop after they've already dropped from shifting.
I'll get a video tonight or tomorrow.

I ripped both inners, but I have heard of people ripping outers. If I do lt inners, then I wonder how long until the outers are toast.

If you have to pop the CV's out you might as well either replace CV's or if rebooting , do them all at once because you're going to have to pop out the tripod anyway..

    Maybe
It's like it doesn't know when it should be locked or not, so it shifts, tries to lock, finds out the RPM's drop to much if locked, so it unlocks to keep the RPM's up.
