If you run them straight up-and-down you won't be able to get more than 16 inches of travel. Should be able to get 18 so if you angle them you can get a little bit more out of them. The people that run them straight up-and-down only run 18s. you want to use all the travel you can get!

Pretty positive jd has 18s. And I'm willing to bet berry has his slightly angled so he can get the full 18.

Ask what people think on the bs thread and see what they say.
If you go straight up and dwn with a 16 inch shock... You can only get 16 inches. With leafs you should get like 18

Well then just make sure you cycle it when you set it up. The way I would want to do it would be to use all of the travel leafs could possibly let me get. You cannot run a 16 inch shock straight up-and-down and get 18 inches of travel. But do as you please.. If it's truly a 1:1 ratio then you can't get more travel than the shock has. Maybe a little bit since the axle swings forward when it's drooped out. But just my opinion

I'll ask him tomorrow. Just want you to be as happy as possible with your work.

And the one for the rear axle housing? The one that has four bolts and the axle shafts are connected to it and it comes out of the axle tube?
If so, yes. Get a dead blow Hamer and beat the shit out of it.
Mine took a lot of beating and prying to get off.

Yeah dude just get a rubber mallet or Dead blow hammer and whack the hell out of it. You could also try some liquid wrench and spray that where it's connected to the axle tube.
If you can't get it by tomorrow I may be able to stop by on my way home from work and help you break it loose.

Yeah I can do that man. I have a dead blow and a big rubber mallet I can bring. If you can spray some WD-40 or liquid wrench on it tonight or tomorrow morning so it will help us out.
