has anyone tried a set of these in projector housing? seems like that might be a pretty good way to go...

I was thinking of adding these to my projectors in my Civic. They are not HID projectors so I think the LED solution would work nice.

Mine will be here Friday. I'll install them this weekend.

If they work good I'll buy a set for my FR-S.

They were a pain to install...toyota headlights suck. And they're bright. Really, really bright. I love them!

They're aimed the same as the normal headlights, but it seems like they're dispersing light a LOT higher...

I've ordered a set but I disagree that Toyota headlights suck. In my opinion they are some of the best "stock" headlights out there (short of stock HID). I think the LED will make them even better though. I'll find out this weekend.

*EDIT* Re reading your post maybe you were talking about the install process. If so my apologies.

No worries. Yes, I was referring to the install. It ended up being easier to remove the headlight to change the bulb.

Did you know you have to remove the front bumper to change the bulbs on a Prius? The install for that calls for 3.5 hours!

Wow... glad I don't own a Prius. I'm still debating on whether I want to move the battery and washer tank or just remove the headlights themselves. I'll mess around with it Saturday morning.

I've got an aftermarket front bumper...so the headlight removal took all of 2 minutes.

Yeah... Once you take them out the first time and get to that hard to reach bolt it's pretty easy. I remember that on my 2011 when I did the BHLM. Assuming the 13 is the same.

Unless you have a projector that uses a standard based bulb (halogen) then they won't fit in a HID projector if that is what some are referring to. Also, the LED bulbs seem to be a nice option in place of the stock halogen bulbs but a HID retrofit still is the best option.

Haha... those are the lights I'm running now. I like them and they are better than the stock bulbs no doubt. I have no complaints on them (other than the price) but I am anxious to see how these LED's work out.

My FR-S is standard projector so I think these will be a good upgrade if they turn out well in my truck.
