Easy, just keep boost at 6 or less! Stock ECU even.

Good fucking luck with that! I tried...

See above post, good fucking luck! Have you seen how big that motor is, you would need hood and fender scoops!!!

This is why I ended up with an LS1, small package, big power. A 4.0 was gonna be too much work, its super tall!

I almost bought a JD3 Bender, but found a Mittler Bros used on CL instead, came with a bunch of dies except the one I really need 2.75" and thats like over $400!

I still need to make some sort of stand for it, its a bitch using it on the floor, but I actually use chalk outlines for my templates like old school police outlines of bodies, lol

I helped a little on my neighbors truggy. We drew it out on the garage floor lol. Its an industry secrete. Been done since forever! I ordered my bender from jd2. Only local vendor was in corona, and they wanted 430$ for just the bender, picked up! Not shipped. From jd, it was the same price, with 3 day shipping. Still fuckin expensive. I need 2 more dies still. The 1.5, and a 1". Maybe a 2" too but not any time soon.

Ill be picking your brain next year jason. Im going ls, but I want to keep heat and ac. Might be a huge pita, but its a must for me. When I pull my 2rz, ill be plating the piss out of the frame, and adding 2 nice cross members. I might go with my current 5.3 in my z71, and put a fresh motor in my z. I know im going to have to build new suspension, and a new rear end. 31 spline wont cut it for me. Ill bump it up to 35. Should be plenty for a light truck.

Yeah, I would have also had to take work off to make it up there in time before they closed at 5, the traffic all the way up there then fight the traffic all the way back down it would have been a real pain in the butt, so JD hooked me up and I ordered just the frame from them and I might order another die or two sometime this next week. Also going to start putting together a tubing radius machine next week. That way I can radius light bars, bumpers, and parts of my cage ect. I want to get square dies so I can build a fancy gate for the new house. Should hear bach from the bank today or tomorrow.

Yes sir. That was my plan. Hopefully someone can help me fab some stuff to make it all work and help with the install. When the time comes (probably when I rebuild top end at 200k)

Jeff if you run into something you need an oddball die for temporarily let me know. Sometimes for just a single job the cost of buying one doesnt make sense.
    Pretty sure I have .500", .625", .750", .875", 1.00", 1.125", 1.25", 1.50", 1.75" & 2.00"

I have heater and AC and PS, fully functional! It can be done. The LS is a small package, but the headers......holy hell. Grab a bottle of Xanax first, it gets friggin tight in there, the shaft for the rack and pinion is what broke the deal on almost every build I have seen fail! They couldnt get any off the shelf headers to work, so I built my own from scratch using LS header flanges from Jegs, and a header DIY kit for a small block chevy, cut and paste, lol.

But its LONG, so the radiator will be almost kissing the water pump pulley, I had to make semi-solid motor mounts so the engine wouldnt move and hit something!!

May wanna check the low end too, may be able to hone it and slap in some rings and bearings too if your gonna boost it! Your gonna want a good ring seal with boost.

I have built a ton of turbo setups, mostly for the 2RZ, but same deal but with balance shafts and longer stroke.
When it comes time lemme know, I am well versed on forced induction systems and the 2/3RZ platforms.

The single cab in question is a 2nd gen, not a first gen. Jeff was talking LS I/we were talking about 669sprink for the 4.0.

I am having trouble keeping up with several different conversations.

I suck at multi-tasking, but can do one thing at a time fucking awesome! Haha.

I know, I'm trying to work right now.

I figured a 4.0 into a 2nd gen std cab would be a nice little ride. Less custom fab would free up $$ for bolt ons.

    Mmmmm bolt-on titties

Yeah, it's massive, but not impossible (i think)
But then you have a LS (i prefer no GM on my vehicles)
Then you have a F-250, ehh, if i put a 2nd gen body on a f-250 frame i get a smaller size (the frame on the f-250 is a good foot inside the outside of the body) and just trim the back end of the frame to ACLB or DCSB size.

Anyone have a buddy at a local toyota dealership? I need a quote to service my trans (preferably with an exchange machine, but i'll settle for a regular flush)
