Every ford I see always dies fairly quickly. Would never soil a Toyota with ford stuff.

 

Esp. a six-point-slow. Those motors have got to be some of the most problematic! It's fun to dream, but be realistic; you own a compact truck..

My dad is a ford guy to never had an issue with his vehicles but he bought the tacoma because where he works the toyotas are the only vehicles to survive.

 

That sounds like way more work/money than would be gained by any advantage you would have. I want an m715 on46" with a 12 valve. That is a mans truck.

Way too long. You can barely get one into an 80 series, and good luck fitting the interlooler.

V6 powerstroke would be cool if you could fix all the problems pre-swap.

That sounds bad to me

I like loud diesels but wouldn't be able to stand one that noisy in a trail rig.

 

Haha you just idle over everything. The biggest downside as a trail rig is that you will always be a tail gunner. Not a lot of people like the smell.

my dad and I were looking at an '07 tundra today. How can you tell if a tundra is TRD or just has the decal

 

- 18"-in. TRD off-road alloy wheels
- off-road tires
- Bilstein shock absorbers
- engine skid plate
- fuel tank skid plate
- front tow hooks on 4x2

 

I couldn't see the front shocks and the rear were so dirty, i'll look for the skid plates if I go see it again, will it say trd on the wheel? mine don't

Delete the EGR, put a turbo back on it and that solves all the issues (unless you're gonna tune it and try to tow a 12,000 lb trailer up the grapevine at 70MPH)
