Mine was done by Toyota dealership although no one there had done one with the UCA's they were able to figure it out fairly easily (I did provide them the paperwork for my Icons). It rides great with no drift or abnormal tire wear. Could other shops do that? Depends, and before I had Toyota do them I checked with National Tire and Battery which has very well maintained shop and equipment. Manager said no one had done them there and kind of left me wondering as he was not very forthcoming and certainly didn't seem eager for the business. I would call and ask a few places to see if anyone has experience doing them and if they have someone who knows what they are doing go with them.

It depends on the lift, and how well it is designed. When you lift a truck you throw off the normal tilt angles of the camber, and how much it can be adjusted. In SOME cases (not all of course) this makes matching the correct alignment numbers impossible to reach, because the lower control arm can't be brought to the correct placement. I know that when I was doing alignments at Sears we had a few trucks that just wouldn't get to spec, even when the cams were at their max. We would have to install aftermarket alignment cam stops and grind off the factory ones. Some lifts though are well designed, and the truck was in great shape before hand, making aligning it simple and easy.

So what do you all think of my modified dash trim panels? I sent them to a guy on here to get a carbon-fibre hydrographics done. Got the switch panel, AC plate, radio trim, cupholder, and cluster trim all done.

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
Your icon uca's are not adjustable, so in essence it is a standard alignment.

With light racing uca's and I believe built rights as well it doesn't matter one bit on the lift. The uca's are adjustable in both caster and camber so if you can't get it into proper numbers off your tabs you have about 2 to 3 times the amount of adjustment still to play with in the UCA itself. Which is why some shops have difficulties in doing an alignment with them and everyone asks where to get it done. Because if the UCAS are off from the start then the tech has to not only work with the trucks angles but also the UCAS angles that they are introducing. The paperwork comes I to play because it has instructions on how to set the UCAS to zero. So you can try from the start to get desirable numbers out of solely the trucks alignment cams.

Hopefully that makes sense to you on why the light racing ones can make an alignment a bit more difficult.

Makes sense to me! That's a hard thing to do in words. I have to see something to know how to do it right. Maybe that's why I'm good in the..... let's not get ahead of ourselves here

I was fully aware of it. Hence my indicating that depending on the design of the lift, some are easy to adjust, and others more difficult. I wasn't calling out any specific brand of course, just lifts in general. Some don't have adjustable uppers, and those are mostly a pain to align.

Alex, pay for that out of pocket. It is cheaper, in the long run, than using your insurance. They will say it won't cost anything for you to do that but your rates will go up. I did that in the grey honda and my rates went up $60 a month.

Makes sense but 400 dollars is something I don't have right now..... I won't have it till I come down in June. I'm going to look for quotes when I get back back home. I know a guy in another squadron that works at a body and mechanical shop as well.

Does it have to be replaced? If it's a chip, can it not be filled? I'm just curious. It might have a crack all the way across the windshield. Idk. Lol

Ya it has to be replaced. It spread from the center center to the driver side edge in 2 days.... I don't think that lift is exactly..... Safe is it?
