Wheeler's grease gun and grease for UCA bushings came in today. Setting up a mod day for the NoVa guys for 4/12 at my house to install suspension and skids, along with helping other guys with what they need done.

Brake install/flush and alignment appointment rescheduled to 4/14.

    Getting closer...

I don't remember exactly where in NoVa you are, but if you have issues with getting a good alignment, there is a Firestone in McLean that i've had good luck with. they kept the truck for half the day one time, but it sure was a perfect alignment...

Thanks! I try to keep it organized to help others.

I'm probably about 25-30 from McLean. The last time I took it to the shop I'm going to, they got the alignment pretty good for 2.5'' of lift on stock UCA's.

Hopefully they will get it done right this time as well, but I'll keep the McLean Firestone in mind.

Forgot to mention my suspension came in the other day and my Expo Leafs were delivered yesterday. Installing on Saturday.

Also ordered the flip down license plate bracket in preparation for my Pelfrey H/C bumper. I called the Stylin-Trucks company again (have called every week for approximately 4 weeks and they kept telling me "Oh just another week to get it back in stock") that I originally tried to order it from for $9 today and they told me it was discontinued, so I just ordered the same type from another site for around $30.

More than what I wanted to spend on it but I was tired of dealing with it. I had tried to go to Homer Depot to buy some hinges and hardware to do it myself but the cost for all the stuff I needed for it was too close to the online price so I figured I would just buy the actual bracket.

    ORDERED
--- Flip Down License Plate Bracket

    ON HOLD
--- Relocate OEM Reverse Camera (Completing after Pelfrey Install)

    TO INSTALL
    --- ATO Transmission Skidplate
    --- ATO Transfer Case Skidplate
--- EBC Stage 5 Brake Kit
    --- Rotopax 3G Gasoline Pack
    --- IVD 2.5'' 700# Ext. Travel Coilovers
    --- Total Chaos Uniball UCA's
--- IVD 2.0'' Ext. Travel Rear Shocks
    --- Pelfrey H/C Rear w/ Swingout/Rotopax/Hidden Hitch
--- AP Offroad Expedition Leaf Pack

ATO TRANS / T-CASE SKID INSTALL

Installed my ATO transmission and transfer case skid today. Figured I would just do it now so there's one less thing to do on our NoVa mod day on Saturday, especially since I would like to crank the Icon's to where I want them with the weight in the front that will be on the truck from now on.

Yeah, I hope so too. I am a little nervous about the first 100 miles or so with the bedding though. I drive like a grandma and I still sometimes have to slam on the brakes because of the retarded seal drivers around here. Hopefully I will not have any issues with keeping minimal brake pressure for the first 100-200 miles.

Some people wear the coating of by brakin hard and then ease into them slow for the first few hundred miles. As long as the coatings are worked in smoothly and evenly, i don't think it matters

Coolio  I guess I'll try to follow their bedding procedure as close as possible and not worry about it if I have to be flexible with it.

    IVD / AP SUSPENSION INSTALL

Installed all the suspension today with the help of Skygear, joneill03, FastEddie, and Frogsauce. Huge thanks to those who came out and helped me.

Alignment is way off. Cranked the coilovers to around 23'' (center hub to fender) and rear is right at 25'' (center hub to fender). I think the rear will settle a little bit, and the Pelfrey bumper in late May-early June will most likely bring it down a little also.

Getting EBC Stage 5 Brake Kit and alignment done on Monday. Hopefully it will get rid of or at least minimize the weird steering feeling that my brother also has after installing the Icon's up front. I doubt it will because his alignment is perfect and it still feels weird. Maybe it is just how these coilovers make the front end feel? I am PM'ing Icon to see if others have this result.

a higher caster number will make it harder to steer but it shouldnt feel as extreme as youre mentioning. lift the front of the truck off the ground and with the truck on see if you can turn the tires by grabbing the tire and turning it. That will let you know if there is some binding going on but it seems wierd to me...

Brake kit is getting done on Monday.

    Finished product

This is the fronts at full droop and tire on. I cranked the coilovers up a little bit after this picture, but nothing big.

This is right after we got the Expo's on and before putting on the rear IVD's.

I'm going to get better pictures of the suspension tomorrow. I also finished greasing the UCA bushings and lubing the uniball.
