    Bad news...

Started by checking for grounds, nothing unusual. Plugged new ECU in, nothing unusual. Turned key on, got normal lights plus CEL. Tried using OBDII sensor but got a "link error". Tried starting engine, but had no change in sound or feel than from old ECU.

Gonna call my insurance company tomorrow and see if they will help pay for repairs when I take it to the dealership...

Truthfully I don't understand what you mean by "no change in sound or feel". The truck either cranks or doesn't crank

    I have a few mods
id honestly have to say at this point, at least try checking the fuel pump. when my truck died on me, it would just keep trying to turn over, but it wouldnt start up since the fuel pump was dead. I had replaced the starter and battery at the same time and it still just tried to start, but didnt. its at least worth a shot

If you were closer I would say put her on a trailer and tow here here. I would have it figured out in an hour or so. Those problems are my specialty.

Here is what happens when electronic parts get wet while they are powered. The water is to some extent is conductive it forms a pathway to other parts on the board all solid state devices do not like reverse current the smaller they are the more likely they are to be damaged. This includes all ecm modules that had water in them. If you have insurance and water was up to the dash it is an automatic total.
