 It would feel amazing to get a rescue dog

He doesn't usually stand like that haha. Sometimes i catch him standing like that, looking all handsome and shit

His joints get a little sore after a hard run :( but I ony notice it after he's been laying down as if maybe he is stiff from staying in one spot for a while like what happens to humans. I don't think his hips hurt though. I notice his factoring his front legs instead. Supposedly hip displasia was bred out of him. I hope that's true.

I still don't have a pic of Beau with specs on. I have some badass old school glasses I could put on him. I will when I have a chance :D Jayce is so cute hehe

bulldogs are pretty bad ass. I just don't feel like I could do as much stuff with them. i.e.- Run, swim, etc. He looks like a stud though.

We live in a beach community so the climate is great for him. He just turned eight, and has been a great loyal dog. But yes low energy.

Yeah, I don't hike as far as I used to now that the truck is built up but I still go out for a mile or 2 sometimes and always walk a good distance while out fishing. Id like to have the dog around then and I feel like it would be to much for it at our elevation.

My two Pitties with our blind chihuahua. Funny how that little thing has the control over the two big dogs.

    nice pit!

let me guess the little one in the middle is the most edgy/ one that will snap at you the most?

I have had more small dogs(like our yokie, and other little fur balls) snap or growl at me more than i have bigger dogs.

Too much for any dog or just a bull dog? Because I hike 14'ers with my two muts and they are fine. I do love bull dogs though, always have. I've always said once I get to old to be as active as I am I'll get one. They are bad ass.

I volunteer for English Bulldog rescue. Yes, about two city blocks in weather under 60 degrees F is enough exercise for most of them. They cannot - and in many cases, will not - run. They do NOT float, lol. When mine has been near water she wears a life preserver. It is extremely dangerous (and easy) for them to overheat and die within minutes. Poorly bred bulldogs, which unfortunately have increased bc of the breeds popularity, tend to have health problems which can add up to thousands.

They may look badass but most of them are about as hardcore as a baked potato. They are wonderful companions - (almost all of them I have ever met love people including mine) but they aren't going hiking with you unless you plan on putting them in a pack on your back.

Mine will be 11 this year.

Thank you, postcard is a good idea.

Thank you, they are as gentle as they look.
Thanks, yea the little blind one takes more work to correct behavior issues. It's funny when she acts out how the pitties just use one paw to keep her in her place until she chills out. Blew my mind the first time I saw it. Great dogs

Agreed. Mine loves the water, camping and anything else people wanna do. We actually taught ours to swim with his vest on just in case!

Just English bulldogs. I only say that because of their build and problems breathing. I think it would be a great dog to take on a road trip though.

If you like the English bulldog look but want a workhorse, consider an American Bulldog. Same face but normal dog proportions and plenty of energy for an outdoorsy lifestyle. Had one growing up - great dog.
