I have a drive line vibration at 59-61 mph. For now I just don't drive that speed.:)

You could do a header if you want, seems like a lot of money for not a ton of gains though. I don't think there's a whole lot you can do to get much more power aside from a supercharger or turbo kit.

Actually I drove Millertime187's truck. His seemed to have more power than mine(with stock tires) and he has 285's. He has a CAI and a header. So IDK

Hmm... That's pretty interesting? Gears the same too? The noise I'm sure would make it sound faster but I would be very surprised if exhaust and intake netted a significant improvement in performance. Not saying it's not the case, just surprised :)

Are headers a pretty big pain to put on?

Should be a pretty basic installation. 4banger owners speak highly of the LCE header for our trucks. It is probably worth the investment. Ill be re-gearing before going that route though. I bet I will get one eventually.

My OME install thread talks about one way to measure the driveshaft angles.

How bad is your vibration? Once the regular cab is lifted 3" - the DANA driveshaft is guaranteed to be out of it's manufactured spec range one way or another.

After adjusting as well as I can - I've got a minor "thrum" vibration from 25-30 and 55-60 mph.

Well I re-torqued the u bolts and the vibrations got milder but it's still there around 30mph and 55mph. It's not too loud but I'm just worried that something will wear out pre-maturely

Of course it will. Lifted trucks wear out driveline universal joints and CV boots faster than unlifted trucks. Nothing you can do about that. -- except of course keep the U Joints greased at your service intervals.

Was it a vibration that appeared after the installation of a lift?

hey, thanks. I need more room and adequate power for the terrain [IMG] My 4runner is my toy now, will keep that and replace tacoma with a new subaru... maybe a 5dr impreza, forester, or 2015 legacy if I wait that long. Need to sell my stupid camper shell before I can trade it in.

Or if someone wants a 2012 with 24k miles on it for basically what the dealership would pay me for it

    ^Yea :( $16,250.

I'm thankfully not upside down, but I'm not that much ahead. Need to get rid of stupid Toyotacare if possible, I'm 3 months shy of 2 years ownership, so it hasn't done a damn thing for me. I've read on the web about people doing this but doesn't seem like a guaranteed thing. Certainly must be nearing the end of the major depreciation curve though since I still see pre-05's pop up for like $15k  Guess it helps that they didn't change a damn thing for the upcoming '15
